Site Assessment & Percolation Testing PDF Print E-mail

Site Assessments and Percolation Tests

OGE undertakes site assessment and percolation testing required for the discharge of effluent from waste water treatment systems to ground. We provide reports for all developments from single dwellings to group housing/clusters and commerical developments such as golf courses, hotels and industrial facilities.  OGE is certified under the relevant EPA/FAS scheme to undertake site assessments and is a recommended provider of this service to County Councils.

OGE follows the EPA Wastewater Treatment Manuals Treatment Systems for Single Houses as necessary. OGE also follows the new proposed guidelines from the Department of Environment, Framework for Site Assessment of Large-scale On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems (OSWTS) Discharging to Groundwater (draft) for comercial developments.

BRE 365 Soakaway Tests

Assessment of stormwater discharges to soakaways are also required as part of planning applications and BRE365 is used to assess soakaways.

Hydraulic Assessments

OGE provides all related design services for hydraulic assessments of culverts and  stormwater drainage systems and attenuation. Flow measurements and associated calculations are provided to show that drainage systems are designed to 1:100 year storm events in compliance with OPW requirements under section 50 of Arterial Drainage 1945. StormCAD and Stormtech are used to undertake the work required.
